Scheduling

There are two methods to meet with a tutor: walk-ins and appointments.

Walk-ins

The most popular method is simply to come into the Writing Center, sign in at our front desk, and wait for the next available tutor. There is often a short wait for those who walk in, but when many students have a similar assignment due, waits can be longer.

Appointments

Students can schedule an appointment by calling the Writing Center at 422-4306 or by visiting the center in 4026 JKB and speaking to the secretary. The scheduling sign-up sheet is available every Thursday for the following week of appointments. There are limited appointments available Tuesday through Friday, and no appointments are available on Monday. Students who are more than five minutes late to their appointment lose their slot and must either sign in at the walk-in desk or make another appointment.

Appointments are not available during Spring and Summer terms, with the exception of grammar appointments.
