Dream Job: Teaching literature/history . . . I've convinced myself that money really is no object.

After working almost everywhere else on campus for what seems like 40 years (student manager for BYU Football, Library Reseach Assistant, Writing Fellow, mailman, Teaching Assistant), I've found my way into the promised land of the Writing Center. I can now die (a.k.a. graduate) a happy man. Before that happens, however, I've got to finish up a degree in English with a minor in history. Even then, I'm not planning to go anywhere; hopefully I'll be in the MA program in English in the fall and still romping around campus.

Originally I said I'd never come to BYU (I'm from Mapelton, UT, just 15 minutes to the south), and now it looks like I'll never leave. Eventually, though, I would like to transplant somewhere else for a PhD in Literature of Intellectual History. I'm also the oldest of five, a passionate fan and player of soccer, and a recovered ski addict. At the core, I love learning well, teaching well, and writing well. I hope never to stop.
