Orea B. Tanner Award
The family and friends of the late Orea B. Tanner, for many years a popular, dedicated teacher in the BYU English Department, have made very generous contributions to the department as a memorial to Professor Tanner.
Applicants must be in their sophomore year (total college credit hours of 32-64 credit hours, including AP) at the time of application, and must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above for all classes. Applicants must be officially registered as full-time students (12 credit hour minimum) at Brigham Young University as English majors for the term of the award. If a recipient changes his or her major, he or she forfeits the award.
