Edwin M. & Dessie W. Thomas Memorial Award
The Edwin M. & Dessie W. Thomas family, because of their long association with the BYU English Department, have made very generous contributions to the department for awards of excellence to BYU English majors.
Applicants must be in their last year of undergraduate studies for the term of the award and have not received major (such as Presidential, Trustee or National Merit) scholarships or awards. Applicants must be officially registered as full-time students (12 credit hours minimum) at Brigham Young University as English majors. If a recipient changes his or her major, he or she forfeits the award.
