Changes in First-Year Writing in English

in Fall 2006 there will only be one first-year writing course in the English Department: Engl 150, Writing and Rhetoric, that fulfills the GE first-year writing requirement. There will be honors sections of this course. Transfer students and students with AP will get Engl 115 credit. However, it is highly recommended that students with AP take Engl 150.

Alternative first-year writing courses will also change to 150; therefore, Phil 200 will become Phil 150 and Honrs 200 will become Honrs 150.
