The BYU English Department has designed a new emphasis–the Technical/Professional Writing emphasis. This course of study will enable students to obtain the preparation and guidance necessary for entering the field of technical communication.

Why Study Technical Communication?

Those in the technical communication field are at the edge of technological and societal advancement. They are involved in an exciting variety of projects–graphic art, technical illustration, education, publishing, translation, photography and multimedia, management, consulting, and contract work.
